SCHOOL OF MUSIC--- THE BEST PRODUCER TO WORK WITH
SCHOOL OF MUSIC:: THE BEST PRODUCER TO WORK WITH
I decided to talk about this so I can help most of you planning to record new songs soonest get direction. Working with many young artistes lately, I noticed the obsession most of them have with the big producers. Most young artistes are dreaming of working with Wole Oni, Cohbams Asuquo, SMJ, MasterKraft, Gospel on the beat, Salz etc.
Now there's really no problem with wanting to work with a big name producer except for two things. The fact that you don't have the money to pay for their fees and you are putting yourself under unnecessary pressure.
The second problem which is even why I am making this post is the Mentality that these big names have the ability to blow you. Lol. What a joke! If you are struggling to work with the big names because you think your song will blow if it was produced by Wole Oni or Any of the big names, you are such a joke and I will show you why.
Do you know hundreds of songs out there produced by this big names that didn't blow?
Now am I saying they can not add value to your song? Nope that's not what I am saying. Of course most of them have wealth of experience which if they apply it well, it can help your production. What makes a produce big is just because they produce one or two hit songs right? And most times that happened based on a lot of factors. It is not like they have magic touch oo.
Don't be carried away with big names especially if you can't afford them now comfortably. After recording, you need much more money for promotion. There are a lot of very good music producers out there who have not made name yet and they hungry to blow too. Look at that direction and get your songs done.
The best producer to work with as an artiste if you want to blow fast, is a producer that listens. Not about name or popularity. A producer that doesn't listen to the artiste is a terrible producer and can not intentionally blow any artiste.
Why is this important? It is because every song you either wrote or received, has a mood, feelings, emotions behind it, sometimes even concept which only you the writer knows and feel. A listening producer will listen to you to understand the song. The feeling, mood, emotion and concept of the song. It is with such understanding that he can create a hit. Even his addition and suggestions will be in line and in tune with what you have received originally. This is key. I have seen producers kill a song that's suppose to blow..
Blowing your songs has nothing or very little to do with a big producer after all, Uncle Wole Oni is responsible for a lot of gospel hits but he wrote and recorded his own song, shot video to it and the song didn't blow. If a producer can't blow his own song then he's not the one with the power to blow you.
