SCHOOL OF MUSIC - THE STRUGGLE FOR RELEVANCE AFTER BLOWING
SCHOOL OF MUSIC ::: THE STRUGGLE FOR RELEVANCE AFTER BLOWING
Recently I have been thinking a lot about some artistes who dropped Hits back then and went extinct. Truth is that they are actually active in music but you don't get to hear them because they have no more hits. Yes many of them are releasing and promoting their songs ooooo but for where? You don't get to hear them because the songs are not blowing again.
To figure out how to address the matter, we have to first know what their problem really is. The real problem is that these guys blow by accident. Accident is never an organized structure to replicate. If you blow by accident and be thinking it is grace, you will struggle for years to make another hit until you go extinct. Hit songs are created intentionally and if you don't know how this works, you are in for struggle.
When Psquare broke up, I told people that Paul Rudeboy will be more relevant in music than Peter P Classic. I got to know that Rudeboy was responsible for most of Psquare's Hits that you know. Rudeboy surely knows the secret and after the break up, he's got many Hits out. It is that simple. If you don't know, you don't know. Stop disgracing grace. If you got a hit song by grace, why couldn't the same grace give you another hit song abi you have fallen from grace?
What is worse after blowing is struggling for years to make another hit song and stay relevant.
I particularly noticed that most gospel artists could not grow bigger than their first Hit song. Something is definitely wrong.
In the secular world, most artistes have grown way beyond their first Hit song. If you can not grow bigger than your first Hit, you will soon begin to lose relevance. This is true. The difference is always clear between the artistes who grew beyond their first Hit and those who didn't.
You know I just wonder how an artiste was able to blow when they were struggling financially and now that they have money and influence to leverage on, they are now struggling to make hit songs. Something is definitely not right with what they think they know about hit songs. Many of them have been brainwashed to think it is the Holy Spirit that gives hit songs and now they are waiting for God to give them that hit song.. Lol
I could argue this and win all the time actually. If you say God gave you your first Hit, how come it's taking you your entire life to receive another hit from God? Are you now quarreling with God?
You have money and you are investing it into promoting your songs, you have influence to leverage on, yet none of your songs is blowing. You are even featuring rave making artistes on your song but you are still not blowing, You are definitely doing something wrong with your song content. If you like be forming nothing on top old glory, e go soon cast oooo.
Having a single hit is not enough, you need to grow bigger, drop more hits and this is only possible with knowledge. Get the knowledge on how to create hit songs intentionally if you want to stay relevant in your music career/ministry
You are very annointed abi? If you don't have hit songs your annointing will be despise ooooo.
The church inviting you, is inviting you primarily to come and sing, bless the audience with your songs, lead them in worship with your song. Let your annointing be heard in your sound. Let your annointing produce a hit sound for you sir. Nobody will invite you to come and be using Nathaniel Bassey, Eben, or Sinach songs to advertise your annointing.
Dear Young and intending Global Brand, do not repeat the mistakes of the PAPAs and MAMAs of this generation.
Do it differently, change the narrative, get the knowledge and make the difference so you don't struggle after your first Hit or remain there forever.
