They got Influence and you don't have that. You might be more anointed, have better content and stronger Message for the world than them but as long as you don't have Influence, you will remain their BABIES. If you observe, most back up singers are better singers than the Artistes they back up for. Now this post is not in anyway intended to devalue back up singers.. No that's not the point. The point I am making is that that those who got Influence, hire the best people who probably know better than them to keep their Influence. SCHOOL OF MUSIC:: YOUR NOISE REVEALS YOUR VISION Last year when I saw the billboards ads for Dr Tim Godfrey's Fearless concert at EKo Hotels and Suites, I was so full of joy and there are many reasons for that. I even had to write a personal letter to Dr Tim Godfery to thank him for taking such bold steps and allowing God to use him to raise the standard and structure for Gospel music. Unfortunately, the same gospel Artistes that he was setting the stage for, preparing the table for and paving ways for are the ones with the loudest noise condemning him. SCHOOL OF MUSIC:: BRAND INFLUENCE ON A SONG. This post is actually the part 2 of my previous post titled "SONGS AND TIMING". If you haven't read the part one, kindly go through my timeline and read it. In part one of the post, I mentioned that some songs need your "brand Influence" to blow and some people asked me to explain what this means. I also said that it is important to know that some songs don't have the strength to blow you at the level you are now, but they can build on what you have already achieved and so if you release such song now at the level you are, it can not do much for you. Every artiste need this knowledge else you will kill a song that can be useful to your brand later if you release it prematurely. It might be a great song that will blow if you already have some Influence but if you want to use it to build Influence, you would have destroyed the song. SCHOOL OF MUSIC:::  ALBUM IDENTITY In part one of this series, I explained to you that an album is a bad choice for an upcoming artiste. This is the part two of album syndrome post. Like I always say. Everything has it's formula. If you get the formula right, you will get the right results. The first reason why you should avoid the idea and temptation to produce an album is because music is expensive to promote and it is more difficult to promote an album to gain Influence and relevance than to promote a song. It will definitely be an error for anyone who is hungry for knowledge not to research on it or at least just look up its meaning in the dictionary.
