SCHOOL OF MUSIC - PROTECT YOUR VISION AND YOUR GRACE
SCHOOL OF MUSIC ::: PROTECT YOUR VISION AND YOUR GRACE.
It is important that you realize that everyone in music ministry is not going the same place with you and definitely don't have the same vision and grace with you. Therefore you can not behave the same way everyone behaves. Your behavior, dedication, commitment and action should be guided by your own vision and grace. Understand this and be conscious of it.
Many years ago when I started my music journey, I joined a music group to learn and grow my singing skill. There was a guy in this group who sings beautifully well and I always admired him and wanted to be like him. But I noticed that he's always late to rehearsal whereas I am always the first person to get to rehearsal. One day I asked him his vision for his music career, and he told me that he just wanted to sing and be on TV. I was a bit confused so I asked him to explain more. He now said he knows he can sing, so he wants to be on TV so that when he is walking on the road many people would know him as someone who can sing.
Immediately I heard his vision, I realized that I need to protect my vision and grace. He shouldn't be the standard for my actions and behavior. What I think is normal because of the size of my vision will be what he would criticize and condemn. Why am I writing this article?
It is because there's a new ministry that's growing so fast amongst Gospel Artistes and it is called "THE MINISTRY OF CRITICISM AND CONDEMNATION".
I see so many gospel artistes criticizing and condemning their own. Listen to me, even though our collective vision is to win soul and add value to the body of Christ, our personal vision and grace towards achieving this purpose differs. Stay focus on your vision and grace and stop criticizing and condemning others for their own vision and grace. God didn't give everyone the same assignments. Some people's assignment needs them to be big and Influential to achieve it and some people's assignment doesn't need much to get done. The way these two people see things and ministry will definitely be different. While the first set is working hard to conquer the world, the second set is thinking they are being carnal.
Don't join small minded people to criticize others who are setting the pace for where you are dreaming to be. Nobody gets award for criticism. A critical spirit is a spirit of pride and God himself resists the proud. Protect your own vision and grace. You must not have an opinion on every matter. Don't allow others drag you into senseless argument on whether it is right for Dr Tim Godfery, SINACH and Mercy Chinwo to host a concert at EKo Hotels and put gate fee? Whether it is right for an Artistes to charge money for an event to minister? Refuse to be involved in unnecessary argument about another man's ministry. Stay focused. You are yet to be Influential and you are criticizing and condemning someone who's influencing the world for God already?
There are a lot of things in life you can not understand at the level you are right now. Hold your peace, work hard on your own vision, grow and correct what you think is wrong when you become Influential. Do a free Concert at EKo Hotel and invite Israel Houghton and Phil Thompson, honnor ministration invites for free. Don't sit in your small world criticizing and condemning. Have you ever seen any of these big Artistes criticizing and condemning others? Oh you think they don't know how to condemn and criticize? Lol.
If you want to grow and do big things for God, protect your own vision and grace. Don't join others to criticize and condemn. Don't allow their critical spirit make you feel that your vision to do big things is an error and ungodly. Stay focused on what God puts in your heart. Honnor those who are ahead of you, who are already doing great things for the kingdom. Soon God will lift you up.
Let me end with this.. God doesn't use or promote a talkative because it is not everything God shows you that is meant for the world to hear. Critics are instruments in the hand of the devil. Stay on the side of God. If you feel something is wrong, pray for the artiste and don't tear them down on social media. God bless us all.
